Keeping Costs Low for Consumers

Due to California’s price controls, insurers must fight hard to be competitive in the market place by keeping costs low for consumers, and seeking innovative ways to further lower rates. PIFC also works hard against state laws designed to increase insurance costs unnecessarily. PIFC opposes legislation and lawsuits that enrich plaintiffs’ attorneys and makes customers needlessly pay more for their insurance coverage.

Informed Consumers with Access to Safe Auto Repair Parts

PIFC strongly believes that state government should empower insurance consumers to make informed choices about how to repair their vehicles without coercion from anyone (whether insurers or auto body shops). PIFC believes in creating a sensible repair system accomplishing the twin aims of keeping premiums low for consumers while ensuring high-quality, safe auto repairs.
